Why Kookoon’ exists
For me, the womb is more than an anatomical space. She is a foundation. A place of sensation, sexuality, creativity, intuition, power and knowing. A place through which we can develop an extraordinarily intimate relationship with ourselves. And yet, for generations, so many of us have been taught to disconnect from it. We have learned not to know our anatomy. To override sensation. To mistrust our bodies. To carry shame around our sexuality. To endure discomfort silently. To look outside ourselves for answers before listening within. Kookoon’ is a call back to the body. A multidimensional, holistic approach that invites us to know our bodies, listen differently, reclaim what has been silenced or shamed, and reconnect with the Kookoon’ as a foundation and source of our own power, wisdom and sovereignty. Kookoon’ Famn Sajès is one passage within that larger body of work. It is devoted to one of the most powerful transitions in a woman’s life: menopause.

Why Kookoon Fanm Sajès
Hot flushes
Sleep that suddenly changes
A body that doesn’t respond the way it used to
Dryness
Tiredness
Emotional intensity
Changes in desire, weight, metabolism, bones, skin, energy and nervous system
Sometimes you don’t recognise your body.
Sometimes you don’t even recognise yourself...
And while everyone around you may be trying to reassure you.
"You’re still young. It’s normal. Don’t worry about it."
Something inside you knows:
Something is changing.
Profoundly.
There can be fear. Grief. Anger. Confusion.
A need to retreat when your life gives you very little room to retreat.
Questions about ageing.
Questions about everything you thought you would have done by now.
Questions about who you are becoming.
Sometimes simply: What the fuck is going on?
In Kookoon’ Famn Sajès, we are not interested in either pathologising menopause or romanticising it.
What we experience can be influenced by hormones, our nervous system, our organs, nourishment, stress, the way we live, the way we see ourselves, our relationship with ageing, what we have inherited, what we resist and the ways we may have learned to live out of alignment with ourselves.
Menopause is not simply a collection of symptoms to eliminate.
It is a passage.
The winter of our menstrual life.
And you do not have to cross it alone, uninformed or disconnected from yourself.

My wish is that you leave more able to hear yourself, trust yourself and stand in your own relationship with your body.

I will hold and guide the six-month journey, alongside invited practitioners and specialists bringing additional expertise in hormones and women’s health, Tantra and sexual energy, Chinese medicine, embodied sexuality, plants and nourishment.
